Hey ! Here we come again ! Patate Records is proud to present to you its latest release : a collection of 12 rare and unreleased tracks by the master of Dub, King Tubby !!
Produced in the late 70’s, during the golden age of roots reggae, by Rodguel Sinclair aka Blackbeard, brother of the famous Jamaican DJ Tappa Zukie, "Look What You Dubbing" beautifully captures a snapshot of a special place and time, as well as a marvelous equation involving dub producer King Tubby and Blackbeard’s backing band, The Ring Craft Posse including famous musicians such as Sly & Robbie, Family Man and Carlton Barrett (The Wailers).
This second volume also features some of the best singers from Jamaica : Ken Boothe, Cornell Campbell, Delroy Wilson, Dennis Brown … It doesn’t get better than this !

Produit à l'âge d'or du reggae, entre 1975 et 1980, par Rodguel Sinclair aka Blackbeard, le frère du célèbre DJ jamaïcain Tapa Zukkie, ces enregistrements prenaient la poussière depuis près de 40 ans. Après le succès du premier volume, nous avons continué notre travail de spéléologie. À l'arrivée, un pur concentré du meilleur de ce que la Jamaïque a produit pendant la seconde moitié des années 70.
Accompagné du Ring Craft Posse, formation maison réunissant les plus grands musiciens de l’île, de Sly and Robbie, en passant par les frères Barrett (the Wailers), King Tubby invente un univers sonore qui va conquérir le monde et révolutionner la technique en studio et le rôle des ingénieurs du son.
Ce second volume est aussi l’occasion de mettre en valeur quelques unes des plus grandes voix de l’histoire du Reggae : Ken Boothe, Cornell Campbell, Delroy Wilson, Dennis Brown … On ne fait pas mieux.
